Do you have an interest in amateur dramatics, theatre, or simply enjoy the magic of storytelling? Why not come along to our monthly play reading at BATS Theatre Company Inc..
Our play readings are a wonderful opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together in a relaxed, friendly, and supportive environment. Whether you are an experienced performer, someone returning to theatre after many years, or completely new to the stage, you will be made to feel welcome from the moment you arrive. No previous acting or theatre experience is needed — just a willingness to join in, have some fun, and enjoy the shared experience of live storytelling.
Participants will have the chance to read characters, listen, laugh, and discover the joy of theatre in a casual and encouraging setting. It’s not about being perfect; it’s about creativity, connection, and community. Many lasting friendships have started around a script and a shared love of the performing arts.
At BATS Theatre Company Inc., we believe community theatre is for everyone. Our monthly readings are a chance to meet like-minded people, build confidence, share ideas, and become part of a welcoming local arts community that values participation, encouragement, and enjoyment.
So why not give it a try? Come along, meet new people, enjoy a great evening of theatre, and experience the fun and camaraderie that community play reading can bring. We would love to welcome you.
Every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7.30pm at the BATS Theatre Company Inc clubroom at the Buderim War Memorial Hall (enter at the rear of the building), Cnr Main & Church Streets, Buderim.
