IT’S ONLY ACTING

Ever watched those political advertisements around election time, and wondered whether the actors portraying the housewives, labourers and retirees actually believe what they are saying?  Or do they see it as just another paying gig?

Like some who dream of acting for a profession, Terri is unable to hold down a regular job and is desperately behind in the rent.  Just when the situation appears dire, she is offered a life changing acting role in an Australia wide marketing campaign.  This would be ideal, but for the fact that she is an environmental activist and the role involves her promoting the Aussie First, Second and Third Party, a right wing political party led by one of Australia’s richest mining magnates.  Does Terri compromise her principles for a more comfortable life?

Written and directed by Bruce Olive, IT’S ONLY ACTING is a modern, humorous look at ethics in advertising and the lengths some will go to turn their dreams into reality.
