Saturday, 9 November – The day starts with a vintage car procession, full day of activities and history. We are ending the day with Drinks on the Deck & Supper Dance. Join us as we journey from 1924 to 2024 reliving the music and dance that the people of Buderim have enjoyed in our hall during its first 100 years. Enter into the spirit of the evening by wearing the ‘Sunday best’ apparel from your favourite era.

Are you passionate about theatre and eager to make a meaningful impact in your community? We’re a small, not-for-profit theatre company dedicated to bringing local stories to life—and we’re looking for a Front of House Manager to join our team!
Position: Front of House Manager
Type: Part-time, Volunteer
Location: BATS Theatre Company Inc. (Buderim War Memorial Hall, Cnr Main & Church Streets, Buderim).
Key Responsibilities:
-Liaise with the President, Vice-President and other Committee members on matters as required.
-Co-ordinate and manage the roster of dedicated volunteers to ensure smooth operations for each performance.
-Co-ordinate the set up and pack down tables, chairs, decorations and equipment before and after events. Ensuring everything is clean and ready for the next show.
-Oversee food and alcohol inventory, ensuring our patrons have a great experience.
-Manage the raffle ticket sales and ensure that all prizes are in order.
-Ensure the lobby and seating areas are welcoming, organised, and safe for all patrons.
-Work with the team to create an exceptional experience for audiences and support the theatre’s community-driven mission.
About You:
-Excellent organisational and people management skills.
-Enthusiastic about working in a team-oriented, volunteer environment.
-Reliable, responsible, and ready to contribute to a thriving arts community.
-Have a passion for the theatre, and / or being a part of a supportive and friendly community.

BATS was founded in 1924, with its recorded history starting in the early 1940s.
As one of the Coast’s largest theatre groups, BATS fosters a strong camaraderie among all members.
Our President of over six years, Alice Rea, accepted the Buderim Volunteering Award, expressing deep gratitude to all BATS volunteers, past and present, for their ongoing dedication to theatre on the Sunshine Coast.
